This is a state prior to diabetes.
Glucose provides energy for the cellular function in the body. Glucose is transported to all the cells and organs by blood. A hormone called insulin helps glucose enter the body’s cells produced by pancreas. Your body is healthy, if it is in balance. However, no insulin is produced if there is not any energy source (glucose) to be transported to the cells and organs.
If there is any disturbance, certain organs or cells cannot take glucose so more and more insulin is produced by pancreas but in vain. High blood glucose level and high insulin level remain. If this is a long standing state, it leads to diabetes as pancreas stops producing enough insulin.
